Aid to the Church in Need Australia, henceforth ‘ACN’ (ABN 62 418 911 594) is committed to protecting your privacy and respecting the dignity and rights of our benefactors, supporters and those who engage with us.

ACN acquires your personal information when you make a donation, arrange Masses, register to receive information, purchase products through That Catholic Shop, become a member of the Friends of the Suffering Souls (FOSS) or in any other way, supply us with personal details. 

Using your information:

ACN uses the personal information you provide for the purpose for which it was provided to us, for other related purposes, or as permitted or required by law. Such purposes include:

  • Processing donations and transactions, including issuing receipts
  • Communicating with you via mail, email, or phone
  • Responding to your questions, comments, or other requests
  • Undertaking information and marketing activities about ACN, That Catholic Shop or FOSS
  • Analysing our effectiveness
  • Any other purpose identified at the time of collecting your information

Sharing your information:

ACN will not share your personal details with other organisations or companies for the purposes of those organisations marketing. Your data is at all times held and used only by ACN. 

ACN does share your information with third-party suppliers but strictly for the purposes of carrying out the work of ACN. Examples include the production and dispatch of newsletters and mailings, the fulfilling of product purchases, and fundraising phone calls made to our benefactors, supporters and those who engage with us.

ACN acts to ensure that the information you disclose to us is kept safely. ACN will never intentionally misuse or allow others to misuse the personal details we collect or hold.

We use Google Analytics to analyse the effectiveness of our site and the location of users. No personally identifiable information is involved.

You have the right at any time to ask ACN to stop or reduce the level of mailings being sent and we will comply with your wishes. You have the right at any time to access the information, which ACN holds about you. Please contact us if you would like to have a copy of the information that we have stored on our database.
